Privacy Policy
Effective date: 26 September 2026
This policy explains how Navjeevan Social Work Centre ("Navjeevan", "we", "us") collects and uses information in the Navjeevan app (the "app"). The app is used by Navjeevan's directors and staff to manage centre activities, field attendance, facility bookings and training programmes. It is not intended for the general public.
Information we collect
- Account details: your name, email address, role (director or staff) and assigned centre. A director enters these when adding you to the app.
- Google sign-in details: if you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address, profile picture and a Google account identifier. We use these only to confirm who you are. We do not get access to your Gmail, contacts, files or any other Google data.
- Location: when you tap Stamp in or Stamp out for field attendance, the app records your precise GPS location and the time. Location is only collected at the moment you stamp attendance. The app does not track your location in the background.
- Work records: information you enter while using the app, such as activity reports, attendance, bookings and training details.
- Technical information: a sign-in session stored on your device so you stay logged in, and standard server logs (such as IP address and time of request) kept by our hosting provider for security.
How we use information
- To let you sign in and show you the workspace for your role.
- To record and verify staff field attendance.
- To plan, monitor and report on centre activities and programmes.
- To keep the app secure and prevent unauthorised access.
We do not sell your information, show advertising, or use your information for marketing.
Who can see your information
- Directors can see staff profiles, attendance (including location) and work records.
- Staff can see their own profile and the work assigned to them.
- Service providers: we use Supabase to host the app's database and sign-in, and Google for Google sign-in. They process information on our behalf only to provide these services.
- We may disclose information if required by law.
Storage and security
Information is stored on Supabase's servers and is encrypted in transit. Access is restricted by role, so staff cannot see other people's records and only directors can add staff.
How long we keep information
We keep your information while you work with Navjeevan. When you leave, or if you ask us to, we delete your account and personal information, except records we must keep by law.
Your choices and rights
- You can ask to see, correct or delete your personal information.
- You can turn off location permission in your phone's settings at any time. You will not be able to stamp field attendance while it is off.
- You can sign out at any time. If you signed in with Google, you can also remove the app's access at myaccount.google.com/connections.
To request access, correction or deletion of your data, email pavithratmamission@gmail.com from the email address linked to your account. We will respond within 30 days.
Children
The app is for Navjeevan's adult staff and directors. It is not intended for children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect their information through the app.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the effective date above.
